These are small but neat birds, not one for the beginner falconer.
They are quick and agile, not disimilar to the goshawk in looks just alot smaller.
Their quarry ranges from as small as Sparrows and Finches right up to Pigeons and Moorhens, very occasionally land animals like baby Rabbits and Voles will be taken although these are not their favourite quarry.
Because the vast range of quarry can be taken from the hedge rows the need for alot of land is not necessary to fly these birds.
