What can I say about this breed of HPR ???
These dogs are all and much much more of what I was expecting. I wanted one to work with me and for me along side the birds of prey.
I have found they are addictive dogs to own, their ability to work all grounds and types of cover is amazing, and the willingness to learn and please you is second to none. They are steady and precise when working, yet I have found they don't waste their time searching for whats not there.
The hungarian wirehaired vizsla make fantastic falconry dogs, and have made my life very easy when hunting with my birds of prey, yet they also excel in the field in trials or under a gun.
There is no waiting a year to start training, sooner the better with this breed, and the enthusiasm they show can make it not only a fairly easy but also enjoyable thing to do.
They also make fantastic family pets as well as working dogs. And as I do, it is possible to mix the two roles.
